Mystery Singer Game

Post by Wayne »

Here's a singing game for younger students that works pretty well over Zoom. I found this in "A Galaxy of Games for the Music Classroom" many years ago.

To the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb":

Turn our back and close your eyes
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Turn our back and close your eyes
and guess who sings your name

Works best if everyone is on "Gallery (Brady Bunch) View".

Choose one person to be "it".... say it's "Justin". Justin turns around, back to camera.

We all sing the tune (above).... I usually do it in the key of E. When the song is done, select one person to be the "mystery singer" by holding up that person's name to the camera (written on a whiteboard or paper). Un-mute his/her mic and that person must sing "Justin" on sol-mi. Justin now turns around and gets ONE guess to the identity of the mystery singer. The mystery singer becomes the next to be "it".
