Distance Learning Efforts

Post by Barbedwirebass »

Hello All

I plan to promote the following pages of resources for distance learning via a google classroom?

http://tinyurl.com/mrjohnsonvideos
My YouTube page with many instructional (mostly recorder) videos

http://tinyurl.com/mrjohnsonsubaudio
Google folders with end of year concert repertoire

I'm thinking google forms with questions pertaining viewed selections will suffice as an exit ticket and proof of attendance?
Is there an online way to have people "sign off" after viewing a video?

I would love to hear what others are doing!

Happy Quarantining!

I have created an elementary music podcast on YouTube - "Remote Control Music Class."
Each episode contains segments on Singing (including a warm up), Rhythm Reading, Listening and another random activity.
I have two episodes posted, each running 30+ minutes (third on the way today or tomorrow)

I am considering assigning portions of each episode to be viewed by particular grade levels, as the entire show encompasses K-4....There is even a quiz attached at the end that at a lowest level, will prove they viewed i.

Feel free to use and share!

Awesome stuff Steve!

In terms of "signing off" that the video was watched, I have been sneaking "secret words" into my quizzes/videos. In Providence, we are required to use Google Classroom (which I had never used before)... so I post a "short answer" question... once they've completed my form or watched my video, students go back to my Google Classroom and answer with "secret" word. (Last week I was using words like "Skittles" or "Takis".) With my videos, I am trying to sneak the secret word in a all different points... so they have to watch the whole thing to find it.
